Services and Resources for EMS/EMT Instructors

For initial certification as an EMS Instructor, you must complete an approved instructor course from an accredited Training Institute.  The course should cover all the objectives of the National Guidelines For Educating EMS Instructors.  As part of the course, the candidate's performance as an instructor must be monitored for 12 hours by a certified instructor, and that instructor must complete a written evaluation of the candidate's performance, along with an indication of the number of hours that the instructor candidate was monitored.

To renew your EMS Instructor certification, you must complete an approved EMS Instructor Update.

An approved EMS Instructor Update is available on the LMS.  Other approved updates may be available elsewhere.
